Coached by Candyce Carter, the Lions defeated the Fort Worth Brewer Lady Bears 6-5 in a thrilling 5A Division II title matchup, closing their impressive season with a 40-1 record.
The Lions' championship run included stellar performances from standouts like Madalyn Davis and pitcher Sara Wiggins. This recent title win marks an incredible stretch for the Lake Creek softball program, claiming four of the last five 5A state championships.
