DESTINY AWAITS: VYPE's Final Rankings entering postseason
It's almost that time of year again.
With the final week of the regular season upon us, the H-Town volleyball scene is chomping at the bit for the upcoming playoffs.
Most of the Class 6A districts has already been sealed, with teams such as Tomball Memorial, Ridge Point, and Atascocita recently clinching their respective titles over the past week. Grand Oaks remains the top team in the city, and perhaps the state, as they appear to be seemingly invincible. However, Cinco Ranch, Stratford, Cy Ranch, and Deer Park are among the many teams that pose a threat to their dominance, should they meet in the postseason.
Barbers Hill, Friendswood, and Fulshear secured their spots in Class 5A and are poised for deep runs, while Lutheran South, FBCA, and Episcopal are the favorites on the private school scene.

RAMPING IT UP: District-play shows who's who in Updated Volleyball Rankings
The first round of district play in the H-Town volleyball scene is nearly wrapped up, and expectations could not be higher.
Throughout their respective divisional matchups, Grand Oaks, Cinco Ranch and Stratford continue to dominate the Class 6A scene. Meanwhile, teams like College Park, Tompkins, Fort Bend Austin and Seven Lakes are re-establishing themselves as serious contenders.
In Class 5A, Barbers Hill rises to the top of the charts, as Friendswood surpasses Fulshear and Foster after some key recent wins, while Goose Creek Memorial is surging. Those could certainly be interesting matchups should any of these squads meet in the postseason.
As they enter their divisional race, Episcopal appears to be the team to beat among their SPC counterparts. Furthermore, the onus will be on Lutheran South, FBCA and Concordia Lutheran to conquer their TAPPS opponents.
Here are the updated VYPE weekly rankings.
