The Rangers enter with an especially imposing résumé, having captured back-to-back 5A Division I state championships. Johnson, meanwhile, gets an immediate measuring stick in Vandegrift.
Brennan also enters Week 2 with something to prove after a 28-21 loss to Vandegrift in a game that came down to the wire. The Bears will have a chance to reset against Reagan, while San Marcos and Pieper look to respond after opening-week defeats.
