Parish Episcopal RB Andrew Paul signs to Georgia
The excitement could hardly be contained on Wednesay morning as fans, coaches, teammates, family members, and media filled the gym at Parish Episcopal School to watch seven athletes sign their National Letters of Intent. One of the biggest buzzes in the gym, however, was the anticipation of where running back Andrew Paul would announce his commitment to before immediately signing. VYPE DFW was there to capture the special moment.
With Paul's signing table decorated with physical representations of all of his accomplishments during his time with Parish football, something that stood out was that the athlete had three college hats on his table. The night before, Paul announced his top three (Georgia, Michigan, and Clemson) as well as the fact that his decision would be made in the gym on Wednesday morning during National Signing Day.

During his senior season, Paul dominated the field while helping to lead the Panthers to their third-straight TAPPS State Title. Paul recorded 2,616 rushing yards with 41 rushing touchdowns while also recording three receiving touchdowns on 14 catches and 208 yards. During playoffs alone, Paul recorded over 1,100 rushing yards and 16 touchdowns. Paul was named the Ford Built Tough Player of the Year, District I Over-all MVP, and earned many more recognitions throughout his senior season- as well as college offers that began to stack up. "I knew I was one of the best out there even when people doubted my game," said Paul in an interview with VYPE on Wednesday.
There's no doubt that Paul will have great success with Georgia as he joins their team. Paul put in the work in order to make his dreams come true- to play for a school known for having great running backs. "Sony Michel and Nick Chubb were recruited by them," said Paul. "So when I got the offer, I knew that I could be great there." See below for a video of Paul's decision:
