A Look Back

Last season, the Decatur Lady Eagles posted an incredible 12-0 district record (37-8 overall) to finish at the top of their district. The team dropped only 21 sets against their opponents through the entire season and fought hard in playoffs to secure their second-straight state title.

After working their way through regular season play, the Lady Eagles entered playoffs strong- ready to shut down all of their opponents. Decatur defeated Fort Worth Western Hills, Glen Rose, Krum, Hereford, Argyle, and Bellville en route to the championship match. It was DFW against DFW, though as Decatur faced-off against a tough Celina program. Ultimately, Decatur posted a 3-0 shutout to take home the title.

Looking Ahead

The team is a strong team that can build off of their success each season. With two consecutive championships under their belts, the Lady Eagles are going to strive for a third and fight until they have everything they want. With their preseason schedule set to begin against an incredibly strong Brock team followed by Stephenville, the team is set for a great return.

What To Expect

Fans can expect Decatur to play hard against their opponents and find their way deep in playoffs- if not another return to the state championships. Decatur is a force to be reckoned with and won't slow down in the fall.
