CHARGED UP: No. 12 Clear Springs has star, leader in Madden Hill

No. 12 — CLEAR SPRINGS CHARGERS

The Madden Hill-era has officially arrived at Clear Springs.

The sophomore sensation — a 3-star national point guard — exploded onto the scene last season for coach Chris Hairfield, leading the Chargers to a District 24-6A Championship (13-1) and an impressive 31-5 overall record.

Ranked as the No. 4 player in Texas, Hill’s explosiveness, court vision, and ability to get teammates involved make him one of the most dynamic guards in the state.

Supporting Hill is a talented senior backcourt featuring Rodney Smith (8 ppg) and Casey Syers (7 ppg), giving Clear Springs plenty of firepower on the perimeter.

The Chargers enter 2025 as district favorites once again, but their sights are set higher — aiming for a deeper postseason run after last year’s early exit against Shadow Creek in the opening round.

The message is clear: with Madden Hill running the show, Clear Springs basketball is built for the big stage.
