At 6-foot-2, Jayden Robinson might seem intimidating at first glance. But then she smiles -- warm, genuine, disarming -- and suddenly, the walls come down.
On the court, though, it’s a different story. She’s a force. The Ridge Point senior is as versatile as they come—one moment she’s setting, the next she’s elevating for a kill, then turning around to stonewall a hitter at the net. Her presence alone shifts momentum.
Her impact? Game-changing.
“My leadership has really grown over the years,” Robinson said. “So has my confidence—from high school to club, and then being chosen for the USA U19 National Team and winning gold. I’ve come a long way from playing at the YMCA.”
That evolution didn’t happen overnight—and it didn’t happen alone. Her father, a former college basketball player at the University of Buffalo and a pro overseas, has been a guiding light.
“He’s helped so much in my athletic journey,” she said. “He’s been through the recruiting process, he knows what it takes to play at ahigh level, and he’s been there for me every step of the way.”

Now, Robinson finds herself in rare air. A top-tier national recruit, she’s committed to Nebraska—one of the most storied and passionate volleyball programs in the country.
“It just felt like home,” she said. “The support in Lincoln is unlike anything I’ve ever seen. They truly love their volleyball there, and I knew that’s the kind of environment I wanted to be part of.”
But before she dons the scarlet and cream, she’s got business to handle back home in Missouri City.
The Panthers rolled through district last year at 14-0 before falling in the third round of the playoffs to Cinco Ranch. That loss still stings—but it also fuels what’s next.
“This is our year,” she said. “We’ve got the experience, the depth, the drive. We know the spotlight will be on us, and we’re ready for it. This is our last ride, and we’re going to make it count.”
