The VYPE No. 9-ranked Klein Bearkats have been one of the biggest stories of the high school football season, racing out to a 7-0 record for the first time since 2003.
Under head coach David Perez, the Bearkats have energized the Klein community with a remarkable start, building momentum and confidence as they prepare for a massive showdown against Tomball this week.
Offensively, Klein has found its playmakers. Wide receiver Mike Brown has been a key target in the passing game, while running back Kendrick Brown brings another weapon to the Bearkats' attack. Quarterback Carter Lattelle has helped lead the offense as Klein continues to stack wins.
But the story doesn't stop on offense.
The Bearkats' defense has been downright punishing, surrendering just seven points per game and setting the tone for a team that can win in multiple ways.
Now, with Tomball looming, Klein has an opportunity to add another chapter to an already memorable season. The Bearkats have captured the attention of the Houston-area football community, but the mission remains the same: keep winning and prove this historic start is only the beginning.
