North Mesquite vs. Rockwall

Shana Willeford (VYPE Media)

North Mesquite vs. Rockwall - Friday, November 5 at 7 p.m.

North Mesquite Stallions (1-8, 0-5)

The Stallions have had quite a rough season. So far, North Mesquite has no wins in district play and their only win all season came against Richardson in week one. The Stallions looked strong opening the season, but they haven't seem to quite find their footing since.

Because of their losing season, the Stallions are going to want to head into the game on Friday and use anger to fire them up with the hopes of an attempt to give Rockwall a loss.

Rockwall Yellowjackets (7-2, 4-1)

The Yellowjackets had an amazing start to the season. Some might have even called them the "team of destiny" in the Dallas-Fort Worth area. They head into the last game of regular season feeling good in the number two spot in their district. Rockwall has posted a four-game win-streak including last week's 52-26 win over Mesquite Horn and they look to finish their regular season strong.

Senior quarterback Brayden Locke has had an impeccable season- throwing for 27 touchdowns and 2,730 passing yards while also running for two rushing touchdowns. Junior Zach Hernandez has also had a great season so far with 14 rushing touchdowns to his name and 1,309 rushing yards.

What To Expect:

Rockwall's offense should come out and play with a commanding dominance that they have shown all season- even in their losses. The Yellowjackets defense can also be expected to make big stops against North Mesquite to close out their regular season.

Garland vs. South Garland

Garland ISD

Garland vs. South Garland -- Friday, November 5 at 7 p.m.

Garland Owls (9-0, 6-0)

The Owls head into Friday's matchup undefeated on the season. Sitting comfortably at the first place position in their district, the Owls should be expected to put on a show on Friday night as they play South Garland in their last regular-season game of the year.

Senior quarterback Cergio Perez has thrown 48 touchdowns this season with over 3,000 passing yards while completing 73% of his passes. Senior Jayshon Powers has scored 10 rushing touchdowns on 839 yards. The defense has also continued to play flawlessly throughout the season.

South Garland Titans (0-9, 0-6)

The Titans have had a rough, win-less season so far. The team hasn't been able to get anything moving on the field and has posted only 133 points on the season. It's possible that fans might see the team come out discouraged going up against an undefeated city rival, but the Titans could also still have some fight as they prepare to close out their season on Friday night.

What To Expect:

Fans should expect nothing less than excellence from Garland on Friday. The team has played with major tenacity throughout the year and there shouldn't be an upset on Friday night as the Owls look to close regular-season play with an undefeated record and a district championship title.

Coppell vs. Flower Mound

Coppell Student Media

Coppell vs. Flower Mound -- Friday, November 5 at 7 p.m.

Coppell Cowboys (4-5, 3-3)

Coppell comes into Friday night's game sitting in the fourth place spot in their district. The team has posted big wins this season and will be looking for another big win on Friday night... a win that could either make or break their season.

Junior quarterback Jack Fishpaw has been the main star for the team this season. Fishpaw has thrown for 15 touchdowns on 2,026 passing yards while also leading the team in rushing touchdowns with five scores on 77 carries. Coppell is going to have to see a big game from the supporting members of the team on Friday night to secure a win.

Flower Mound Jaguars (4-5, 3-3)

The Jags sit at the fifth place spot in their district and are hungry for a win on Friday night in order to keep their season alive. With a big 39-28 win over Plano last week, fans can expect to see Flower Mound come in ready to get rolling against Coppell.

While the Flower Mound Jaguars' defense has played their heart out this season, the offense has used a pair of quarterbacks to power the offense in senior Nick Evers and junior Yale Erdman. Evers has thrown nine touchdowns this season while Erdman has thrown five. Evers has also rushed for four touchdowns while Erdmans has rushed for two.

What To Expect:

This is a win-or-go-home scenario. The team that takes the win will be able to keep their season alive and head into playoffs. While the offenses have been a little less than impressive this season, the defenses have risen to the challenge of getting the job done in order to post big wins. Expect to see a defense-heavy game on Friday in a battle that could be anyone's game!

Prosper vs. McKinney Boyd

Prosper vs. McKinney Boyd -- Friday, November 5 at 7 p.m.

Prosper Eagles (6-3, 3-2)

Although the Eagles' record doesn't look as impressive as some of the other area teams, they have definitely posted incredible wins this season including their huge win last week over the Allen Eagles. Fans should definitely expect to see the 28-23 win over Allen be something that powers the Eagles to a strong Friday night game.

Quarterback Harrison Rosar has had a special season for the Eagles. Rosar has thrown for 22 touchdowns on 2,092 passing yards while rushing for four rushing touchdowns. Malik Dailey has also played well for the Eagles' offense in big wins this season.

McKinney Boyd Broncos (7-2, 3-2)

The Broncos started off their season with school record breaking season. With some of the biggest wins in the metroplex to start their season, McKinney Boyd has been nothing but tough the entire season. Although they have posted a couple of losses, they haven't let that drag them down.

Senior quarterback Ryan Shackleton has had a great season so far throwing 14 touchdowns and tallying 1,309 passing yards with a 63% passing completion. The offense has been steady in scoring and the defense has been pulling energy from them to keep up hard work against tough opponents.

What To Expect:

Prosper is riding on a high after a big win over Allen, they are going to want to prove that that big win was not a fluke. However, McKinney Boyd is going to want to prove that their incredible start was not a fluke. We are going to see two really great quarterbacks going head to head in an attempt to prove which team should end regular-season play with the most bragging rights.

Kaufman vs. Melissa

Melissa ISD

Kaufman vs. Melissa -- Friday, November 5 at 7:30 p.m.

Kaufman Lions (7-2, 3-2)

The Lions come into Friday night's game at the fourth place spot in their district. Coming in on a two-game losing streak, the Lions are going to want to finish their regular season strong. Led by senior quarterback Derek Clamon, the Lions are going to want to head into the game against Melissa and take a big win. Clamon has thrown eight touchdowns with 1,136 passing yards on the season.

Braxton Garmon has also been a strong force for the Lions as he has rushed for 14 touchdowns and over 800 yards.

Melissa Cardinals (7-2, 5-0)

Melissa is coming into Friday night's matchup as the number one team in their district with an undefeated record. Led my quarterback Sam Fennegan, the Cardinals have seemingly been unstoppable in district play. Fennegan has thrown for 28 touchdowns on 2,089 passing yards and is currently the area's leading passer in 4A football.

The defense has also been an incredible force against opponents all season. Posting huge wins over the likes of Argyle has definitely been something that has helped powered the team to a strong, confident season.

What To Expect:

Melissa shouldn't be expected to slow down. Although Kaufman certainly wants to put a stop to Melissa's great play this season, it just might be that Melissa is too strong to finish regular season play with anything other than a win.
