THE RANKINGS: No. 20 - Alvin Yellowjackets
Kelly Bembry enters her third season (74-29) of leading Alvin and her ninth overall as a head coach. The Yellowjackets went 29-6 overall and reached the Regional Quarterfinals a year ago.
Three starters return for Bembry to the lineup in 2025 including first-team, all-district pick Marlee Van Ness, and second-teamer Angelina Rector. Courtney Harrison will be another player to watch for Alvin.
“We will have a lot of new faces in the infield and behind the plate for us,” Bembry said. “Getting the young ones up to speed on the game will be key for us.” Alvin will lean on their starters to help them “Rise in ’25”.

No. 19 Alvin Lady Yellowjackets
Five starters return for Kelly Bembry as Alvin looks to build off a 21-win season and Area Round appearance from a year ago.
All-State selections Kiley Huffman (Texas Tech) and Abby Ptak (Boston College) are back in the dugout along with all-district picks Matti Matthews (University of North Texas) and Jocelyn Briseno (Houston Christian University).
Another player to watch is Spring Hill-commit Rebekah Cavazos along with Kamryn Deleon.
The key for Bembry’s squad this year is “playing for one another” as they go for “More in 2024” in Alvin.
