The Lamar Consolidated ISD Invitational powered by the Daspit Law Firm tips off this Thursday as 16 boys teams will do battle for the tournaments’ bragging rights.

“We hosted the girls tournament a few weeks back and it was the original LCISD Invitational, which has grown to 32 teams,” LCISD athletic director Nikki Nelson said. “The boys tournament is also growing in stature across the city. We are super-excited to be hosting some high-caliber teams that will be competing in our three-day event.”

All six LCISD schools will participate along with VYPE-ranked Stratford and Cypress Ranch. Also in the pool are Alvin, Willis, Katy Taylor, Dekaney, Cy Ridge, Langham Creek and Wharton.

Pool play starts Thursday and the Finals will wrap up Saturday.

Fort Bend Austin won the girls tournament that was played earlier in November.
