VYPE Spring Tour | The Defending State Champs, The Randle Lions
The Randle Lions finished 2024 a perfect 16-0 capping the season off with the UIL 5A DII State Championship. The Lions look to be a new powerhouse program in H-Town with many many key pieces coming back from last year's team.
Leading the way is returning running back Landen Williams-Callis, a dynamic playmaker with in the backfield who totaled 2,038 yards and 43 touchdowns on the ground last year. Callis is the No. 2 running back in the country and will look for another big campaign his Junior year.
Defensively, the Lions bring back State defensive MVP, LB Ryan Mallory and also get highly touted LB Noriel "Pac-man" Dominguez back after sitting out last year due to UIL ruling.
COACHES CORNER: Lane takes over stable at Lamar Consolidated
Chris Lane has been appointed as the new Head Football Coach and Campus Athletic Coordinator at Lamar Consolidated High School in Rosenberg, Texas. He brings over 21 years of coaching experience, having developed players and built successful programs at the high school..
Before joining Lamar Consolidated, Lane served as the Offensive Coordinator at Alief Hastings High School. His coaching career also includes roles at Channelview, Bellaire, Fort Bend Travis and Sweeney High School. Lane's appointment comes as Lamar Consolidated High School seeks to revitalize its football program, aiming to return to playoff contention after recent seasons without postseason appearances.
