Welcome back to another ATX/SATX edition of Team of the Week. Each week we take a look at a team from across the San Antonio/Austin area and surrounding areas that impressed us for one reason or another.
This weeks team put an end to a 3 year home winning streak of Canyon and hasn't lost a matchup since September 23rd. That team is the Smithson Valley Rangers. The Rangers currently sit at 35-7 on the season after yesterday's 3-0 match win over Seguin. They will head into playoffs as one of the 5A favorites, along with Canyon, coming out of San Antonio.
They have done so with great play from Emily Wertz (329 kills, 387 digs and 18 aces), Lillie Johnson (225 kills and 61 blocks) and Brittan Fedyk (665 digs).
