THE RECAP: Lake Creek Lions vs. Crockett Cougars Football

The Lake Creek Lions continue their undefeated season as they defeated the Crockett Cougars 78-27 in the second round of playoffs. The Lions improved to 12-0 behind a dominant performance on all sides of the ball.

In the first quarter, it was the Tyvonn Byars show as he tallied three touchdowns in the first 12 minutes. The junior running back finished the night with five total touchdowns. The special teams added a blocked punt for good measure in the first half as the Lions took a commanding 44-21 lead into half.

The Cougars were buoyed by their do it all QB, Cameron Dickey, who finished with four total touchdowns.The Texas Tech-commit also added a two point conversion with a jump pass to his younger brother Caleb Dickey. Late in the game, Dickey became 4th all time in rushing yards by an AISD player after a 7 yard scramble.

The Lions (12-0; 6-0 in district) will face off against Port Neches-Groves on this Friday for the opportunity to enter the Regional Finals.
