Among the 6A, 5A, 4A and Private School rankings released at the beginning of the season, all of the top teams came out unscathed from a wild and eye-opening Week 1.
Only one of the four groups has the same 10 teams in place but no ranking is unchanged after the first week.

<p>Duncanville and Allen survived tough matchups in Week 1 to remain in the top 2 spots from the <a href="https://www.vype.com/dfw-football-preseason-top-10-6a" target="_blank" rel="noopener noreferrer">preseason polls</a>.
