Hunting for success this season, the Kaufman Lady Lions have been on the prowl. As the team continues putting forth strong effort in their schedule, VYPE DFW takes a look at the program:

Rewind

Last season, Kaufman put in the work and finished second in their district standings. With a 20-10 overall record (10-2 in district play), the team secured several impressive victories through their regular season schedule including those over Ennis, Athens, Calallen, Forney, Wills Point, Ford, Community, and more. Learning from valuable moments on the court, Kaufman entered playoffs with their head held high and defeated Dallas Carter before falling to North Lamar.

This Season So Far

Kaufman is back on track after a long offseason. Continuing to put in the work to record convincing victories, the team worked hard through non-district play in order to finely tune their skills on the court, Kaufman defeated tough teams such as Mabank (46-40), Mansfield (48-45), Brock (38-37), Corsicana (71-45), and others before entering their district schedule.

With a 17-11 overall record (5-1 in district play so far), the team is led by the likes of Kaylee Wrenn, Aubre Prox, Lillie Reven, Garrah Prox, Jordyn Prox, Ka'liyah Arps, and other focused athletes. The team has already showcased their talent against district opponents with victories over Wills Point (39-37), Ford (57-23), Caddo Mills (53-17), and more. As the team gears up for the rest of their schedule, fans can expect them to continue a dominant style of play on the court. Focused on excellence and a deeper playoff run, the Lady Lions have what it takes to make their mark during the rest of this season!
