No. 22 -- Dobie Longhorns
As has been the case in recent years, Dobie remained a consistent, looming threat in H-Town last spring, finishing 18-13 and placing second in the ultra-competitive District 22-6A.
The postseason provided a spark, however, as coach Robin Rackley and the Longhorns knocked off Ridge Point in the Bi-District round, securing the program’s first playoff series victory since 2021 and fueling renewed optimism heading into this campaign.
That momentum resurfaces with a solid rotation of proven starters. Junior outfielder Persephone Soria, a first-team all-district selection, led the offense with a .459 batting average and 30 RBIs. Senior shortstop Natalie De Hoyos, a Texas A&M–Victoria signee, also earned first-team honors after hitting above .400 with 14 RBIs.
On the mound, senior RHP Vanessa De La Fuente (Texas Lutheran) anchors the bullpen after posting a 12-8 record with an ERA just north of 3.00 and 145 strikeouts. Meanwhile, senior second-teamer Chloe Nunez (Alvin CC) adds versatility as both an outfielder and pitcher after batting .388 with 12 RBIs.
