VYPE U: Kipp Dominates Acton in 30 point Victory

On this gorgeous Austin evening, Acton Academy and Kipp prepared to face off in their third preseason game. Both teams were anxious to see how they stacked up against one another as the tension rose in the gym. One by one, the starters lined up for the jump ball and before anyone knew it, the game started.

In the opening minutes of the game, both teams fought hard and traded bucket after bucket. It felt as if both teams were just waiting for the opening to take charge of the game and bust the game wide open. That opening came with the Eagles' fatigue.

After the opening 6 minutes of the game, you could tell the lack of a bench was a problem for Acton, and Kipp recognized that. They used their depth to their advantage and out worked the Eagles. By the end of the first half, Acton had fallen behind by double digits and Kipp was in full control of the game.

The second half started out well for the Eagles as they went on a run to start the period off, however, the success was short lived as Kipp was able to widen their lead with great hustle play. In the end, Kipp won handily with a 30 point victory over Acton.

Overall, Kipp had a great game. Every lineup they put on the court was productive on the offensive and defensive end. It was great to watch a team with such good chemistry play to their strengths in all aspects of the game.

On the other side, the Eagles had the best game of their preseason. The team as a whole is starting to gel, and it shows. This was the first game where Acton felt like a cohesive unit with good chemistry. It was great to see them start to get back on track.

In the end, both teams played their hearts out and their love for the game was apparent. Each team showed respect for the other on and off the court with congratulations on a game well played and well wishes for the other team in their next contest.
