Cigarroa, Nixon fall on the road as woes continue

Cigarroa and Nixon are both still in search of their first district win of the season as the two teams fell on the road Friday.

After a much-needed bye last week, the Toros (1-5, 0-2 District 16-5A II) returned to the gridiron rejuvenated against the Roma Gladiators (2-5, 2-1). Last year, Cigarroa had Roma on the ropes but ultimately fell 17-10 in overtime. This season's matchup was a different story as the Gladiators crushed the Toros 40-0.
