VIDEO: Byron Nelson dominates over Plano

Trophy Club Byron Nelson had an incredible night in front of a home crowd during their season opener on Thursday night as they took down Plano by a score of 41-13. Starting their season off on the right foot, the Bobcats made sure to leave. everything they had on the field. VYPE DFW was there to catch all the action!

It didn't take long for the Bobcats to get ahead of the game on Thursday night. Led by quarterback Jake Wilson, the team took a 24-0 lead before halftime. A 21-yard touchdown pass from Wilson to Landon Farco followed by a 56-yard score by Landon Ramson-Goelz with less than three minutes left in the first half gave Byron Nelson a comfortable cushion and a fire to finish the rest of the game strong.

In the first drive of the second half, Wilson found Ramson-Goelz to extend the lead 27-0, giving the Bobcats enough of a lead to make it nearly impossible for a comeback finish from Plano. Despite an 11-yard fumble return by the Wildcats' Daniel Bennett, Plano's efforts at bringing the game back within reach weren't successful.

Wilson threw for 312 yards on the night with three touchdowns while Aaron Darden led the team with 126 rushing yards while scoring two touchdowns of his own.
