Chandler Morris, Highland Park, Quarterback
The Scots picked up where the left off last season beating Rockwall 66-59 in a classic. The back-to-back-to-back defending state champs were led by QB Chandler Morris, who went off for 23-47 passing, 474 yards and five TDs. He also had 15 rushes for 180 yards and four TDs. He's committed to Arkansas, where his dad is the head coach.

Jaxon Smith-Njigba, Rockwall, WR
Even in a heartbreaking loss to Highland Park, the Ohio State-commit was a top headliner in the state with an incredible performance of 13 catches for 311 yards and three TDs. At 6-foot-1, 190-pounds, Jaxon Smith-Njigba will give opposing defenses fits all season.

Marvin Mims, Frisco Lone Star, WR
The 2018 District 5-5A-DI Offensive MVP is back at it again. The Rangers beat Richland 55-3 to go 1-0. The future Stanford Cardinal had 10 catches for 237 yards and two TDs. Not a bad start to his senior season.

Blake Short, Flower Mound, Quarterback
The Jags reached the postseason for the first time in eight seasons in 2018 and could be back on the right track this year. Blake Short went 20-27 passing for 347 yards and five TDs in a lop-sided 55-31 win over Fossil Ridge.

Preston Morway, Episcopal School of Dallas, Quarterback
The slinging QB of ESD threw for over 2,200 yards a year ago. He built on his career stats over the weekend as he went 31-52 passing for 477 yards and five TDs in a big win over Trinity Christian. Morway looks to get ESD back in the SPC title conversation.
