No. 18 — C.E. KING PANTHERS
While Atascocita and Summer Creek have long dominated the headlines in Houston basketball, CE King has quietly emerged as a contender in the tough District 23-6A.
Under coach Damien Mobley, the Panthers made a deep postseason run last season, advancing three rounds before falling to eventual State Finalist Katy Jordan.
Several key contributors have graduated, but Darrell Bush returns to lead a young, talented squad. Sophomore guards Kaiden White, Kendric Mitchell, Jayce Arriaga, and Cire Mobley all have bright futures and will be counted on to step up quickly if CE King hopes to continue its newfound success and remain a threat in the district.
With experience, talent, and Mobley’s leadership, the Panthers are ready to show they belong among Houston’s elite.
