VYPE U Behind the Lens: Angleton Stuns Lamar Consolidated With Late Comeback

Lamar Consolidated boys basketball hosted Angleton Tuesday night.

The Mustangs led the Wildcats throughout the first half, but Angleton came back late in the second half. Lamar Consolidated was up by 3 with a few seconds to go, but Angleton Wildcat PG Garrett Patton scored a game-tying buzzer beater to send the game into overtime. Angleton won in overtime with a final score of 72-68, stunning Lamar Consolidated in their last home game of the season.

Lamar Consolidated will travel to their cross-town rival school, Terry (Rosenberg, Texas) February 14th in their last game of the 2019-2020 basketball season. Angleton will face Foster High School (Richmond,Texas) February 14th at home.
