Big School

No. 1 San Antonio Christian School: The Lions advanced to the TAPPS 5A state championship game during the 2018-2019 season, and will be the area favorite in the 2019-2020 campaign because of first-team all-state Kathryn Price, all-state honorable mention Alexis Leonard, first-team all-district Jailyn Potts, second-team all-district Natalie Mandl and Sicliy Carr, and district honorable mention Marcy Eyman.

No. 2 Antonian College Preparatory: The Apaches advanced to the TAPPS 6A regional final during the 2018-2019 season, and are expected to march further in the 2019-2020 campaign because of first-team all-state Melissa Hornedo, first-team all-district Kristiana DeLeon, and second-teamers Kayla Davis, Mercedes Reyes and Adrianna Rodriguez.

No. 3 Geneva School of Boerne: The Eagles advanced to the TAPPS 4A regional final during the 2018-2019 season, and can be a deep contender again in the 2019-2020 campaign because of all-state honorable mention Katherine Lacy, second-team all-district honorees Sydney Griffey, Riley Tippit, Micah Howard and Kellie Khlot, and district honorable mention Alexa Elizondo.

No. 4 San Antonio Incarnate Word: The Shamrocks advanced to the TAPPS 6A state semifinal during the 2018-2019 season, and can match that in the 2019-2020 campaign because of second-team all-state Aliyah Meyer, first-team all-district Gabriella Contreras, and second-team all-district honorees Madeline Hilker and Julia Rico.

No. 5 Schertz St. John Paul II Catholic: The Guardians advanced to the TAPPS 4A area round during the 2018-2019 season, and can make another playoff appearance in the 2019-2020 campaign because of second-team all-state Abigail Petrofus, first-team all-district Grace Bascon and second-team all-district Alexis Richardson.

Small School

No. 1 San Antonio Legacy Christian Academy: The Rams won the TAPPS 1A state championship during the 2018-2019 season, and can repeat in the 2019-2020 campaign because of first-team all-state Jami Campbell and Larrisa McHenry, and second-team all-district Trinity Lopez, Destyne Alaniz and D'Yani Moon.

No. 2 Bracken Christian School: The Warriors advanced to the TAPPS 2A regional final during the 2018-2019 season, and will be a force again in the 2019-2020 campaign because of all-state honorable mention Zoe Anderson, second-team all-district Paige Miller and Hannah Sanchez, and district honorable mentions Amira Bisco-Rosales and Claire Shannon.

No. 3 Hallettsville Sacred Heart Catholic School: The Indians advanced to the TAPPS 3A regional final during the 2018-2019 season, and will compete for a deep playoff run in the 2019-2020 campaign because of second-team all-state Elizabeth Grahmann, first-team all-district Ella Harper and second-team all-district Carley Haas.

No. 4 Shiner St. Paul: The Cardinals advanced to the TAPPS 2A state championship game during the 2018-2019 season, and will be a playoff contender again in the 2019-2020 campaign because of second-team all-district Danni Blair and Rebecca Wagner, district honorable mentions Julianna Davis and Lauryn Kubenka, and another notable player in Paige Brown.

No. 5 Fredericksburg Heritage School: The Eagles advanced to the TAPPS 1A regional final during the 2018-2019 season, so they know the expectation for the 2019-2020 campaign. They'll lean on first-team all-district players Celia Ashley and Josie Fevig, and second-teamers Livy Jons and Lilah Brillhart.
