Harris is John Cooper's "Big Man on Campus"

The quarterback gets the headlines, the skill players make the highlights, but the big-men set the tone.

Ask any football coach, the game is won in the trenches. Thankfully for the John Cooper Dragons, offensive lineman Kase Harris is the team's body guard. He anchors the line, bringing the physicality to an up-and-coming team in the SPC.

At 6-foot-4, 290-pounds, Harris is also a beast in the classroom with a 3.92 GPA in a college prep program. He also scored a 34 on the ACT.

"Time management is key for me," he said. "Balancing school and sports is a challenge, but it's worth it."

With his size, ability and academics, colleges have shown interest as he holds offers from the likes of John Hopkins, Davidson, Amherst, University of Chicago, Bates, Trinity and Carleton College.

"I'm just looking for a school that feel like home where I can play," he said. "Academics are also key. I'm interested in economics and financing. I keep up with the markets and investing when I see the opportunity. I mainly focus on Forex (the Foreign Exchange Market) and the Blue Chips."

When not honing his game or investing, Harris throws for the track team.

"Football and track are very different, but the similarity is hard work," he said. "In both sports, you must work on getting stronger and more explosive, so naturally they go hand in hand."

With all his talents, Harris defines the term "Big Man on Campus."
