HOUSTON - Week Six of the Texas high school football season had everything a football fan would want!

There were a ton of undefeated teams clashing, high-octane offenses, rivalry games and much more to fill the appetite of the #txhsfb fan.

**If you do not see your athlete listed please send in nominations each week by Monday morning to Joshua.koch@vypemedia.com or DM the @VYPEHouston Twitter account with the info.**

1) Ron Hoff – Katy RB

Again, Ron Hoff has become a workhorse for the Katy Tigers! Another amazing by the senior for the Tigers, rushing for 173 yards and two touchdowns on 33 carries in a 35-30 victory over Tompkins on Thursday. Since arriving, Hoff has carried the load for the Tigers. This marks the fourth time this season Hoff has exceeded 100 yards on the night and the second time he has eclipsed the 150-yard mark. Hoff's season high remains the 206 yards he rumbled for against North Shore in the opener. Hoff is fitting in well in the Katy offense and Thursday showed that.

2) Jalen Milroe – Katy Tompkins QB

Most of the time, these top honors only go to the players that team's won. But this is a different case. Jalen Milroe – a University of Texas commit – was the X-factor for the Falcons. Milroe finished 19 of 28 for 407 yards, three touchdowns and one interception in the loss. To complete 67.8 percent of your passes is impressive. Despite being on the wrong end of the score, Milroe still put up big numbers and showed Tompkins can hang with the big boys of Katy.

3) Parker Washington – Fort Bend Travis WR

The Penn State-commit continues to just put up ridiculous numbers. In a 48-7 win over Dulles, Washington finished with five receptions for 189 yards and three scores. Washington finished averaging 37.8 yards per catch. That just doesn't happen. For the season, Washington sits at 35 receptions for 642 yards and nine scores. He is a major weapon that many teams haven't figured out how to slow down in 2019.

4) Jake Peterson - John Cooper RB

When a player shines on one side of that ball that is noticeable. But when they star in a game on both sides, that's flat out impressive. Jake Peterson did just that for the John Cooper School on Friday in a 28-14 win over Oakridge School. Peterson finished with 216 rushing yards, 3 TDs and 15 tackles. That is a heck of a performance and worth of a spot in the Top 5 of the Gridiron Players of the Week.

5) LJ Johnson - Cy-Fair RB

What a clinic put on by LJ Johnson. The junior running back carried the ball 25 times for 245 yards and four touchdowns on Friday. It was the second-straight big game for Johnson after going for 188 yards in his last outing before the bye week. Johnson is a power back and fits right into the Cy-Fair system.
