It’s been nearly 50 years since a Greater Houston girls basketball team won back-to-back State Titles.

Summer Creek High School knocked off Flower Mound High School to make history and claim consecutive state championships.
The Bulldogs’ FAB FIVE — Kennedy Simpson, Addison Martin, Erin Newson, Kaylen Alexander and Tyasia Young — joined VYPE’s Matt Malatesta and Matthew Ogle to talk about everything that has gone into their incredible 18-month run.
Under the guidance of coach Kiara Marshall, the Bulldogs have blended elite talent with a team-first mentality, sharing the ball and keeping the main thing the main thing.
