Goose Creek Memorial Soccer (21-3-2) is in the midst of an unprecedented playoff run, having advanced to the UIL State Tournament for the first time in program history.

With the likes of Carlos Gonzalez, Ramon Diaz, Oliver Reyes, Christian Velasco, and Maxilimiano Gonzalez leading the way, the Patriots are looking to bring their momentum all the way to Georgetown this weekend.

On Wednesday, the Second Baptist School junior was named the winner of the Guy V. Lewis Award, which is named after the legendary University of Houston coach.

On Tuesday, CE King (Texas) three-star wide receiver Braylon Lane announced his commitment to Houston.

Lane committed to Houston over Arizona State, Kansas, Kentucky, Mississippi State, Texas A&M, Texas Tech and TCU who were all in his Top 8 schools.
