FOSTER BRINGS BACK SIX STARTERS OFF A TEAM THAT WENT 29-12 OVERALL AND REACHED THE SECOND ROUND OF THE PLAYOFFS IN 2022.
The Falcons have a veteran squad coming back led by Princeton-commit Jackie Onyechi, who was a TGCA All-State selection, a GHVCA pre and postseason team selection and the District 20-5A Offensive Player of the Year in 2022. Onyechi finished the year with a team-leading 364 kills and 66 blocks.
First-team, all-district pick Brinleigh Davis led the squad with 566 assists and 223 digs, while Brooke Barnes chipped in 205 kills as a sophomore. Other names to take note of include Emerson Lechler (146 kills), Bailey Lechler (253 digs) and Eden Fairfield (252 digs).
Watch out for the Falcons in 2023 under ninth-year coach Morgan Hunter. This team is ready to fly.

IN 2022, COLLEGE PARK REACHED THE SECOND ROUND OF THE PLAYOFFS AND BRING BACK SOME YOUNG BUT NOW EXPERIENCED PLAYERS ON ITS ROSTER.
Six starters return off Candice Collins’ team that went 24-10 a year ago. Lacy Tinnell had a big freshman campaign racking up 305 kills to go along with 83 blocks and 78 digs to be named the District 13-6A Newcomer of the Year.
Mallory Madison’s younger sister, Morgan (Baylor-commit), finished right behind big sister in digs for the Cavaliers in 2022 with 289 but that came in a shortened season as she suffered a torn ACL.
Another now-sophomore Caroline Prihoda wasn’t far off that pace with 251 digs and led the team in assists with 599. This team has a solid sophomore class coming back in 2023 with a junior in Morgan providing leadership. Also watch out for Abby Edmonson, who was a first-team, all-district pick with 318 digs.
They may be younger than some teams, but College Park has experienced youth, which is dangerous in between the white lines.

THE MUSTANGS WILL LOOK A LITTLE DIFFERENT IN 2023, COMING OFF A 43-3 CAMPAIGN, WHICH SAW THE SQUAD REACH THE AREA ROUND BEFORE FALLING TO EVENTUAL STATE SEMIFINALIST THE WOODLANDS.
A new coach Collea McKinney (assistant at The Woodlands) will take the reigns of the program, while Bianna Muoneke is off to Texas A&M leaving Cypress Ranch with a lot of offensive production to replace.
Recent Vanderbilt-commit Taylor Porter will be looked towards to do just that, coming off a sophomore campaign where she had 426 kills. Porter also had 387 digs, a team-leading 67 service aces and 48 blocks. Other players to watch include Zora Bello (290 assists, 119 digs), Gabby Eads (310 digs) and Tya Lynch.
