YEAR ONE: Stowell begins new era at No. 16 Oak Ridge

No. 16 -- Oak Ridge War Eagles

Oak Ridge heads into 2026 under new leadership, with Sarah Stowell aiming to build on the program’s strong culture in her inaugural year as head coach. Last season, Oak Ridge went 23-10 overall and proceeded to advance three rounds into the 6A Division I postseason before bowing out against eventual state champion Midway.

Replacing the production of 13-6A Offensive Player of the Year Ella Boyer, now at Kansas, will be a tall order. Still, the War Eagles return several difference-makers poised to uphold the standard.

Bradley C. Collier (VYPE)

Senior outfielder Adrienne Thompson, a Houston signee and first-team all-district selection, bolsters the lineup and will patrol the outfield with confidence. In the infield, seniors Cam Mendoza (East Texas A&M) and Bailey Sligar (Tyler JC), both second-team honorees, are joined by first-teamers Macy Browning (Jr. 1B) and Anneliesse Pettway (So. SS/OF), offering Oak Ridge with a mix of expertise and emerging talent.
