The McKinney High Lions are back at it this season as they take on some of the best that there is in the Dallas-Fort Worth metroplex. Before they can really get the ball rolling, though, the team must make it through their preseason schedule. VYPE DFW visited McKinney ISD Stadium where the Lions suited up and showcased some of what they have ready for the fall ahead!
The Season Ahead
Last season, the Lions went 4-6 overall with only one district victory. The team faced-off against tough opponents who continued to keep the Lions on their toes. This season, the team is ready to showcase their talent and focus on each game before them. With Messiah Washington returning to the field alongside Bryan Jackson, Xavier Filsaime, Sheldon King, and more, the Lions are sure to have great offense.
Although the team is looking to improve off of last season, fans can expect to see the Lions battle with everything they have. Ready to put last season behind them, McKinney High is going to pull some tricks out against their opponents this fall!
Catch Them In Action
McKinney dropped their first preseason game in a tough 17-10 battle against Temple, but they are back at it on Friday, September 2nd at 7 p.m. as they host Richardson Berkner. To check out more of their schedule, click here.
