McKinney ISD Soccer Check-In

Basketball isn't the only big sport happening during the winter months. Soccer has commenced across the DFW area with many matches already completed - some districts games already unfolding.

The DFW landscape is full of great soccer teams and plenty of talent, including within McKinney ISD.

McKinney Boys and Girls Teams


BOYS: The boys team is at 5-1-1 and 1-0 in district play after a 2-0 win over Prosper on Tuesday. The Lions have a 3-match win streak, outscoring opponents 10-4 in that stretch.

GIRLS: At 8-3-2 and 0-1 in district play after falling 7-0 to Prosper on Tuesday. Before that though, the girls owned a 5-game unbeaten streak.

McKinney Boyd Boys and Girls Teams


BOYS: Sit at 5-2-1 and 0-1 in district after falling 3-0 to Plano East to open the district slate on Tuesday. Prior to that, Boyd was riding a 5-game unbeaten streak that included three 1-goal wins.

Game this week: vs. Jesuit (1/24)

GIRLS: Are 10-2-1 and 1-0 in district with a 2-1 win over Plano East on Tuesday. The girls team has pitched eight shutouts in 10 of its wins and its lone tie was also a shutout.

McKinney North Boys and Girls Teams


BOYS: Are at a 5-3-4 after going 3-0 last week after just two wins in the season's first 10 matches. It fell to Lake Highlands on Tuesday and still has two more games before district play starts.

Game this week: vs. Carrollton Turner (1/24)

GIRLS: Own a 9-3-0 record after dropping its second straight match. Prior to that, the girls team had an 8-game win streak where it allowed just one goal in that stretch.
