HOOPS PREVIEW: Eaton Lady Eagles putting in work

The V.R. Eaton Lady Eagles are back on the court and working harder than ever to make a strong push towards the playoffs. With the idea to continually be better powering them through each moment, the Lady Eagles are looking to get the job done this season. VYPE DFW takes a dive into the program and just what fans can expect from this squad in the 2022-23 season!

A Look Back

Last season, the Lady Eagles had a rough schedule as they went 15-14 overall (3-9 in district play). Fighting hard to get through each play, Eaton never doubted that they were meant for greatness on the court. Learning from ever moment, the Lady Eagles posted victories over Odessa Permian, Keller Central, Keller Fossil Ridge, Denton Ryan, Byron Nelson, and more while managing to still outscore their opponents throughout the season. Without a playoff appearance, the Lady Eagles got right to work in the offseason; preparing their game for the upcoming season.

2022-23

Hard work, dedication, and determination has been driving the Lady Eagles this season. With a 3-3 preseason record so far, the Lady Eagles are still working to fine tune every area of their game plan before heading into district play. The team has posted victories over Fort Worth Chisholm Trail, Austin Lake Travis, and Abilene.

With two non-district games left, the Lady Eagles are determined to improve their ability on the court and enter district play on a high. Their first district game will be in front of a home crowd as they take on Keller on December 13th! Fans can expect to see the Lady Eagles play hard and push to make a playoff run.

Be sure to catch the team in action this season!
