THE LAYUP LINE: No. 10 Klein Collins Tigers
No. 10 -- KLEIN COLLINS TIGERS
Klein Collins approaches this winter fresh off a 26-win campaign that saw them reach the second round of the playoffs.
Directed by ninth-year coach Tatiana Lee – who is 20 wins shy of her 200th career victory – the program aims to maintain its competitive momentum.
The Tigers retain three starters, led by District 15-6A MVP A’Niyah Harmon. The standout guard averaged 16.2 points, 4.1 rebounds, 3.5 steals, and 2.7 assists per game last season and earned TABC All-Region honors, and is likely to repeat that effort en route to a college commitment in the near future.
Joining her is Hailey Neal (first-team, all-district), who averaged 13.3 points and 5 rebounds per game, while Marvinisha Norman, Alana Fontenot, and Ma’Ryann Jacobs round out a balanced roster.
For Lee, putting the pieces together this season means embracing “W.I.T. (Whatever It Takes) – playing with relentless energy, applying disciplined defensive pressure, executing a sharp transition offense, and staying mentally tough.”
