Colleyville Heritage amps up season, heads to playoffs

After a rough season last year followed by a loss in the bi-district round of playoffs, the Colleyville Heritage Lady Panthers amped up their approach to the game and posted one of the program's best seasons yet. As they look toward the playoffs with high hopes, VYPE DFW takes a look into the season and just what fans can expect in post-season play

Regular Season Play

Boasting an undefeated record this season (18-0-2 overall, 13-0-1 in district play), the team put the pedal to the metal as they took off from the very beginning. Securing big non-district victories over the likes of The Colony, Frisco Reedy, Frisco, Plano East, and Belton, fans knew the Lady Panthers had something special up their sleeves for district play.

In the first three games, Colleyville Heritage racked up 16 goals while not allowing any in shut-out victories over Grapevine (4-0), Denton (6-0), and Argyle (6-0). Through the rest of district play, the team continued to post large victories over Lake Dallas (6-1, 10-1), Richland (5-0), Denton Ryan (11-1), and others while outscoring their district opponents by a combined 78-9. With a powerful performance each time they stepped onto the field, the team finished at the top of their district standings ready to pounce into post-season play.

What's Ahead

With an impeccable record and dominant performances throughout the regular season, the Lady Panthers have established themselves as formidable contenders heading into the playoffs. Their commanding victories over both non-district and district opponents demonstrate their strength and readiness for the postseason challenge. Fans eagerly anticipate their relentless pursuit of success as they carry their momentum into the playoffs, poised to make a significant impact as they battle to make it to the state tournament.

Their first playoff game is scheduled against Midlothian Heritage on Tuesday, March 26 with a start time of 6:00 p.m. at Midlothian ISD Stadium!
