No. 16 -- THE WOODLANDS HIGHLANDERS
The 6A-D1 Regional Semis marked the end of a 24-11 showing for The Woodlands, capping off their tremendous playoff run with a tough battle against Duncanville.
Coach Ashley Davis has the luxury of returning her entire starting lineup, giving the program a rare sense of continuity as they aim for a third-straight postseason trip in 2026.
Central to the Highlanders’ ambitions is Oklahoma Christian-commit Isa Alaniz, aka “Isa Bucket”. The senior guard averaged 11.3points and 3.6 rebounds per game last season and received a first-team, all-district nod.
Supporting her are fellow first-team selections Rachael Roberts (9.8 ppg, 2.5 apg, 3.7 rpg, 2.3 spg) and Caelyn Hoffman, who collected 8 rebounds per game, providing a strong interior presence that balances the roster.
The Highlanders’ success will hinge on maintaining a united team identity and dominating defensively, according to Davis and her staff. Furthermore, they plan to emphasize communication and intensity on both ends of the court, while trusting their experienced starters to guide younger contributors.
