The Ridge Point Panthers have put the entire city of Houston on notice after a statement win over No. 3 Bridgeland in the VYPE Thursday Night Showdown. With elite speed on the edges and size that can dominate in the trenches, the Panthers look every bit the contender.
Elsewhere, Dickinson climbed the ladder with a huge victory, while Atascocita battled hard but came up just short in a seven-point loss to Austin Westlake. Klein Collins continues to impress, edging No. 10 Tomball by a single point after already knocking off Klein Cain earlier this season. College Park made waves of its own, blanking ranked Conroe High in dominant fashion. Langham Creek enters the rankings at 3-0, though the Lobos’ toughest tests still lie ahead.
In Class 5A, La Porte suffered its first setback of the season against tradition-rich Port Neches-Groves, while Kempner broke into the rankings after starting 3-0.
And in the private school ranks, there’s a shakeup at the top—The Woodlands Christian Academy has taken over the No. 1 spot, while John Cooper School comes in at No. 2. Kinkaid is trending as well.
