If there is a coach to get Aldine Davis back into the playoffs, it's Robert Jones.
The veteran head coach enters year three at Aldine Davis and No. 20 overall in 2022. He has 180 career wins entering 2022.
His squad is coming off a 4-9-3 season in 2021 and returns four starters off that team.
The leader will be Jesus Montalvo, who was a first-team, all-district pick a year ago after netting 12 goals and five assists.
Luis Villanueva is back after a second-team, all-district performance.
He scored four goals and had three assists a year ago. Bhryan Ponce will be back in goal for theFalcons after being injured last year. He is also serving as the place kicker for the Falcons' football team this season.
Other names to remember include newcomers KevinEscobar and Angel Rojas, who have mixed in well with the returners.
Also watch out for Saul Moncivais.
Despite the record last year, Jones saw some glimpse of hope towards the end of the season as they "improved a lot in the second half of district play", beating 2020 DistrictChamp Aldine and tying 2021 champ MacArthur.
