Here come the Gators into the postseason

The featured standouts of the 2026–27 Seven Lakes Spartans volleyball team.
Matt Powell (VYPE)
Attention naturally turns to the attacking side for Seven Lakes, where one of the nation’s highly touted middles, Willtrace “Wiggles” Ngoh, anchors the front line. The USC commit posted more than 250 kills and 150 blocks en route to District 19-6A Blocker of the Year accolades. Beyond her exceptional showing at SLHS, Ngoh went on to compete with the USA U19 Women’s National Team over the summer and earned Under Armour All-American recognition, further solidifying her status on the elite stage.
Fellow senior Gracie Hobin, a Vanderbilt commit, is back in the mix after leading the Spartans with 428 kills, alongside 295 digs and 349 serve receptions, which would earn her a first-team all-district selection.
Nlonna Okwura (Jr. MB) is another name to watch on offense, looking to build on a second-team all-district season in which she racked up over 200 kills and nearly 120 blocks. Meanwhile, senior Emma Sabelli will help stabilize the effort as Seven Lakes’ starting defensive specialist.

Recent South Carolina commit Jada Skinner is coming off a commanding sophomore year, which saw the outside hitter be named the District 20-6A Co-Offensive MVP. Further bolstering the attack is senior Shayne Voskuhl, last season’s 20-6A Blocker of the Year, alongside fellow senior middle Arayah Watson (Louisiana Tech) and junior right-side hitter Kobi Ezebuilo.
UNLV-bound setter Reina Jones keeps the engine running after a first-team all-district selection in 2025, while Avery Fajardo, a junior second-team libero, handles cleanup duties on defense.
As the Chargers gear up for a stretch defined by being “Formed Under Pressure,” they’ll look to remind audiences of their capabilities, starting with a revamped district slate in the UIL realignment that now features heavyweights like Cy Ranch and Bridgeland.

Farrah Sheeren (VYPE)
Young should deliver similar production this fall—if not more—with fellow senior Madelyn “Mady” Powell back at setter. Just as comfortable on the court as she is in the sand, Powell earned first-team all-district acclaim after totaling over 750 assists and 350 digs.
She’ll be complemented by senior setter Karmen O’Quinn, while junior Olivia Barnett works opposite Young on the pin. Junior middle Gavin Cramer was named District Co-Newcomer of the Year a season ago after contributing roughly 110 blocks and 160 kills.
While Co-Defensive Player of the Year Lianna Kearns (now at Concordia University) has graduated, Alabama-bound junior Aubree Svoboda is expected to fill the void seamlessly after a first-team campaign featuring 320 digs and 624 serve receptions.
According to McClellen, Clear Springs is “a group that understands the game as well as each other. Now, it’s about tightening up the details and making sure the experience shows up every day.”
The district may have shifted to 18-6A in UIL realignment, but the slate remains unchanged. So, will this be the fall the Chargers reset the standard?
