Dallas-Fort Worth area baseball teams continue to battle it out for their right to play in the UIL State tournament. After a hard-fought area-round in every classification, baseball teams look toward the Regional Quarterfinals this week. You can find the pairings and schedule for the DFW area teams listed below.

The 2024 UIL 6A-D2 State Champions -- Byron Nelson Bobcats (11/23/2024)
As preseason rankings take shape across Texas, the Dallas-Fort Worth area once again stands out as a deep and dangerous region on the UIL volleyball map. Our newly released Preseason Top-10 features a familiar mix of state champions, perennial contenders, and rising programs across both Class 6A and 5A.
Byron Nelson leads the pack after a near-flawless 2024 season, finishing 40-1 and capturing the 6A-Division II State Title. Several other 6A programs remain firmly in the spotlight—Allen reached the 6A-D1 State Semifinals, while Keller, Southlake Carroll, Hebron, and Plano West each made strong Regional runs and return plenty of momentum.
In 5A, Wakeland returns as the defending state champion, setting a high bar after claiming the 5A-D2 crown. McKinney North and Aledo both made deep playoff pushes in the 5A-D1 bracket, while Lovejoy continues to be a model of postseason consistency following yet another regional final appearance.
Altogether, this year’s DFW rankings highlight not just talent, but sustained excellence across multiple programs and classifications. With depth, experience, and proven playoff success, the region enters 2025 with high expectations—and no shortage of teams capable of delivering another championship run.
