Klein Oak (TX) 2028 four-star and No. 1 running back in the country, Micah Rhodes, has announced his top three schools consisting of Oklahoma, Texas A&M and Texas.
The rising junior has been a varsity player at Klein Oak the past two season and as a sophomore this season he recorded 172 carries for 1,309 yards with 21 rushing touchdowns.
“I feel like everything is God's timing and that's what I go by and I felt like it was time for me. I don't think I want to go anywhere else other than those three places so I felt like it was the time to drop the top three.”
Talking about each school, here's what Rhodes had to say:
"When It comes to OU, the visit I had this past fall they just showed me a ton of love. Coach Demarco and I have been having a bond since he offered me like. There's nothing I can't call him about and he's like a father figure to me and with that relationship I feel like OU needed to be in my top three. It was mandatory for me because no other coach has showed that type of love.”
“I love coach Troop man. We have a great relationship from the day he came in that office and talked to me about coming and playing for them. It's been great. I also love the atmosphere there, that’s almost the main reason I want to play there. I love the atmosphere and the people there.”
"“My grandfather went there so for me to go thereI'm playing basically with my grandfather, he passed away about a year ago. Coach Juluke, we just talked. We just talked last week and it was amazing. The first impression I got from him was nothing but real. He's not there to just make me better as a player, but to make me better as a man and I think that's what's important when you're going to these colleges. It’s not just about being an athlete because football is going to end one day. I remember when I went there for the camp, and to be honest with you, I didn't know if I was going to get the offer or not, and I saw Coach Sark’s face and he was smiling showing all 32. It just felt great for him to give me that offer.”
As for when Rhodes will make a final decision, he mentioned he plans on taking a few visits this spring to each of the schools this spring before making his commitment.
