With an undefeated record through district play, the McKinney North Bulldogs are on a roll this season. Entering the playoffs geared up, the team has already secured an impressive victory. VYPE DFW takes a look at the season as they continue their mission:
During non-district play, the team took down some of the area’s tough opponents like Plano (3-0), Frisco Memorial (4-1), Richardson Berkner (5-2), and more. Focusing on their desire to remain strong, learn resiliency, and lead each game with a demanding presence, the Bulldogs were able to showcase their ability to set the tone early in each game.
Through district play, the team boasted an unblemished 12-0 record. Dominating their district opponents with victories over Greenville (7-2), Denison (5-0), Melissa (7-0), Princeton (3-0), and more, the team secured moments on the field that led them to where they are today. Ready to enter the playoffs without hesitation, the Bulldogs were prepared for anything.
After taking down Red Oak in a 4-1 victory to open their playoff run, the Bulldogs can be expected to continue strong. Focused on the light at the end of the tunnel, this team is powerful right from the start. Maintaining their power and focus is something fans can continue to expect as this team advances to play Nacogdoches in round two!
Be sure to keep your eyes on the Bulldogs!
Finishing second in their district standings, the McKinney North Lady Bulldogs soccer team entered playoffs ready to shut down anyone who stands in their way. As the team continues strong, VYPE DFW takes a look at their season:
At the start of the regular season, McKinney North took on several talented non-district opponents. In doing so, the team was able to take down the likes of Carrollton Newman Smith (4-0), Trimble Tech (8-0), Royse City (2-0), and more en route to district play. Sharpening their ability to remain focused on the field, the team was able to hone in on their talents and learn to stay resilient.
Led by talented athletes like Mary Kessler, Danica Anaya, Katarina Soto, Katelin Kenealey, and others, the team entered district play with a fire lit. Powering over opponents like Melissa (4-0), Sherman (5-0), Denison (7-0), and others while securing a 9-1-2 district record (12-5-2 overall before playoffs).
Entering playoffs with a resounding 4-1 victory over Corsicana, the Lady Bulldogs have proved that not only do they have fight, they have the ability to focus moment-to-moment and go after the things that they want. Ready to make big waves in the playoffs, fans can expect this squad to fight hard and secure more strong victories as they play for a chance to make a state tournament appearance.
Be sure to keep an eye on this team as they continue strong!
