HOUSTON - In the world of girls basketball in Houston, all the talk usually surrounds Cypress Creek.
Rightfully so as the program played for a state title last year and has a pair of Texas signees running one of the best backcourts in possibly the state.
But don't sleep on Fort Bend Dulles or Nya Threatt.
The 2019-2020 basketball season ended with no crowned victors, but as it currently stands, the 2020-2021 season may not see the same fate. With only two games left in district play, the Fort Worth Christian Cardinals are fighting for a highly coveted playoff spot.
Break up the Pasadena Eagles.
Pasadena is 8-0 in district play and beat Channelview 58-14 on Saturday.
The Eagles can ball with a trio of scorers -- Brock Fosnigth, Kevin Juarez and Kanye Ortiz.
Pasadena leads District 23-6A with five games to play.
