THE RANKINGS: No. 5 Shadow Creek primed to establish an even greater precedent in 2025

THE SHARKS RESET THE STANDARD LAST SEASON, BY SWIMMING ALL THE WAY TO THE REGIONAL FINALS FOR THE FIRST TIME IN PROGRAM HISTORY.

Shadow Creek's momentum was stopped only by eventual 6A-D2 State Finalist Stratford, finishing with 35-12 overall, and now returning plenty of experience.

Aspen Brown (Jr. OH) had a spectacular sophomore campaign, racking up 396 kills, and will be leaned on to anchor the offensive attack. Tamarria Mitchell and Kennedy Proctor are two more juniors to keep an eye on along with Brown. Mitchell had 329 kills a year ago, while Proctor chipped in 185 kills and had a team-leading 118 blocks.

Senior Bella Law will facilitate the offense after leading the team in service assists with 1,341, while also chipping in 410 digs and a team-leading 87 aces. Defensively, expect Lauryn Wiley (Sr. L) to hold the line after leading the squad with 518 digs a year ago.

Also, an exciting development that occurred during the offseason was the transfer of Amaya Love (Rutgers-commit), who previously played at St. Agnes Academy. Furthermore, Simone Robinson and Amaya Langellier should also play larger roles heading into 2025.

Considering they defied expectations last fall, don’t be shocked if Shadow Creek does the same this time around.
