THE 411: TWCA's Adams one of state's top private school prospects

The Woodlands Christian Academy has reached the TAPPS postseason seven straight times. Last year, the Warriors reached the state semis in Class 4A for the second consecutive season before falling to Northland Christian in a heartbreaker.

A super sophomore helped lead the way as Abby Adams earned first-team, all-district honors as well as all-state accolades. So, what does she do for an encore entering her junior season?

VYPE caught up with the outside hitter in our 411 Feature as we get inside the head of one of the top private school players in the state.

VYPE: Volleyball is your life. How did that happen?

ADAMS: "I really got into playing at a young age with my church. I played on and off for a while and really go serious since about 12-years old. I have played club with Revolution and Houston Juniors and both have helped me grow and better myself as a player."

VYPE: Who would be you celebrity Dream Date?

ADAMS: Post Malone

VYPE: What is it about volleyball that got you hooked on the sport?

ADAMS: "I love the team aspect and seeing how it has so many moving parts.

VYPE: What's your favorite vacation spot?

ADAMS: The British Virgin Islands

VYPE: Your life is busy as a student-athlete. How do you make it work?

ADAMS: "I get my studying done when I have down time during school or after practice. It's busy but I make it work."

VYPE: Who is your favorite athlete?

ADAMS: Zion Williamson of the New Orleans Pelicans

VYPE: What do you binge on Netflix?

ADAMS: That 70's Show

VYPE: What do you see yourself doing in 10 years?

ADAMS: I want to be an orthopedic physician's assistant and have a bomb family. I really look up to Dr. Keith Johnson, who currently is a sports orthopedic now.
