No. 5 The Episcopal Knights
The Knights will look to get back to the SPC Championship game in 2024 as first-year coach Chelsea Bass makes her way over from St. Agnes Academy to take over the program.
Episcopal went 17-10 overall a year ago and return four players off that squad. Emrie Holt, Me’Arah O’Neal, Ivonna Lloyd and Daphne Melton are all set to be back in the starting five. O’Neal is the daughter of NBA Champion Shaquille O’Neal and was SPC All-Conference a year ago.
Holt joined O’Neal on that SPC All-Conference squad a year ago and has already passed 1,000 career points. Keys for Bass’ team to succeed include consistent play, hard nose defense, deep bench and a “we before me” mentality.
