Netflix's "Last Chance U" star Martin speaks to Goose Creek CISD

Raechal Martin was invited by AD Dr. Bernie Mulvaney to speak at the Goose Creek CISD's professional development day in Baytown, Texas.

Martin starred on the hit Netflix show "Last Chance U" set on the Independence (Kansas) CC campus. She was the head athletic trainer for the Pirates and appeared on Season 3 and 4.

Last Chance U is an American documentary television series exploring the junior college life at Indy CC – a program which features several collegiate athletes that have had trouble in their lives and struggled with finding structure.

Martin, who now lives in Austin, Texas, talked about her time on the show, her advocacy role for athletic trainers and the next step in her career.

VYPE Chief Content Officer Matt Malatesta caught up with Martin at Goose Creek CISD to hear from the Netflix star.
