Sabine captures program's first playoff victory, 20-14 over Mount Vernon

It's been a year of firsts for the Sabine Cardinals on the gridiron.

There were a couple more program firsts accomplished on Saturday at Gerald Prim Stadium.

As quarterback Landon McKinney took a knee with less than 30 seconds on the clock to close out a 20-14 Class 3A Division I bi-district victory over Mount Vernon, the Cardinals knew that not only would they reach the 10-win mark for the first time but also capture the program's first playoff victory.
