EMAW: Ridge Point's Bryson Dossett locked in with Kansas State

2027 Ridge Point safety Bryson Dossett announced his commitment to Kansas State on Friday.

The talented Panthers safety committed to the Wildcats over Oklahoma State, Duke, Baylor and Texas A&M among others.

For Dossett, the decision to commit to Kansas State came down to the relationships he has built with the Wildcats coaching staff especially defensive coordinator and defensive backs coach Jordan Peterson.

"It really just came down to the coaching staff and the relationships and connections I built with them. They were really the only school that had constant communication with me from the day I offered to the day I committed," Dossett said on why he committed to Kansas State. "Coach Peterson is one of the coolest coaches I know and it's been nothing but great things since he got there as the DC."

Dossett is following in the footsteps of both his father and brother going to play at the next level as his dad was a two-sport athlete at Baylor and his older brother Mason Dossett is currently at LSU.

Making the decision to commit prior to his upcoming senior season meant a great deal to Dossett and feels relieved to be done with the recruiting process.

"The recruiting process when you first start getting offers is amazing but then you have to get to the nit and grit of it all when you're trying to find a place to commit and I felt like that was Kansas State for me," he said. "It was a huge weight lifted off my shoulders when I was able to commit."

With his commitment out of the way, Dossett is looking forward to a big senior season at Ridge Point and becoming a bigger leader next fall.

"I really want to fill out that leader role on the team this year and I feel like I can fit that role," Dossett said. "Obviously we lost a lot of guys from last year but we're still going to be the Ridge Point Panthers and nothings going to change. We know a lot of people will be doubting us and we are going into the season with a chip on our shoulder and ready to prove people wrong."

Dossett is a big addition out of H-Town for Kansas State and look for him and the Panthers to have a big season in 2026.
