The Rangers posted an incredible season to find themselves deep in the playoffs this year. With an undefeated run through preseason play, the Rangers posted victories over Mesquite, McKinney North, Dallas Hillcrest, Irving MacArthur, Burleson Centennial, and Lancaster. Continuing to ride the high of their success, Frisco Lone Star continued to play hard to open district play.

The team posted only one loss and two draws in district play while also defeating the likes of Frisco, Carrollton Newman Smith, The Colony, Carrollton R.L. Turner, Frisco Wakeland, and more. Outscoring their opponents by a combined 88-18 this season, the team has posted shut-out victories over 11 of their opponents. Through playoffs, the Rangers have ended the seasons of Frisco Memorial (3-0), Dallas Adams (7-0), Frisco Heritage (3-2 in double overtime play), Forney (2-1), and McKinney North (2-1).

As the team prepares to play a tough Pflugerville Connally squad, fans can expect dominance on the field. Both teams are pretty evenly matched and will look to have a back-and-forth battle during the UIL Class 5A State Semifinal matchup. Led by the likes of Bartek Zabek, Tucker Eason, Peighton Raisey, Khalid Sankoh, Myles Ezidore, Alex Gonzalez, and more, the Rangers can be expected to put up a convincing fight as they look to advance to the championship game.

The Sachse Mustangs have been on a roll this season. After posting big wins during preseason play over the likes of Fort Worth Timer Creek, Plano West, and McKinney North, the team went on to district play and fought hard against some of the best opponents in the area. Taking down McKinney North, Garland Lakeview Centennial, Rowlett, Wylie, and more, the team was able to post a 8-3 district record before heading into playoffs.

So far this season, the Mustangs have blanked eight of their opponents. The defense has held strong, allowing only 24 goals combined this season. Four of their eight shut-outs happened during playoffs as they ended the seasons of Royse City (4-0), Mansfield (1-0), Duncanville (1-0), Cypress Woods (1-0), and The Woodlands (2-1).

As the team prepares to take on Katy Seven Lakes, fans can expect Sachse to continue playing with the level of IQ they have been playing with all season. Seven Lakes isn't going to be an easy feat in the UIL Class 6A State Semifinals, but the Mustangs have what it takes to put up a good fight through the last whistle. With a squad that comes out fighting, fans are sure to be watching a great game!
